Susanna Stivali
Susanna Stivali è una cantante jazz, compositrice, autrice e docente. Studia pianoforte, canto classico e jazz specializzandosi presso il Berklee College of Music (Boston) grazie ad una borsa di studio. Vanta numerose collaborazioni come quelle con Lee Konitz, Miriam Makeba, Giorgia, Chico Buarque, Jaques Morelenbaum, Fred Hersch, Rita Marcotulli ed altri. Si esibisce in importanti festival e club in Italia e all’estero come: Umbria Jazz Winter, Auditorium Parco della Musica, More Jazz Series Mozambico, Saje Jazz Festival Sud Africa, Makahanda Jazz Festival Sud Africa, Blue Note S. Paolo Brasil, Le Vallette Jazz Malta, Italian Woman In Jazz New York, Udine Jazz, Crossroads. Partecipa a colonne sonore collaborando, tra gli altri, con il M° A. Guerra. Scrive musiche per teatro e cinema. Scrive per Giorgia il brano “Chiaraluce” (cd Stonata). Ha al suo attivo 4 cd ed uno di prossima uscita con il Trio Corrente (Grammy award). Insegna Canto Jazz, presso il Conservatorio di Frosinone e tiene workshop su linguaggio jazz ed improvvisazione in Italia e all’estero.
Susanna Stivali is a jazz singer, composer, author and teacher. She studied piano, classical singing and jazz, specializing at the Berklee College of Music (Boston) thanks to a scholarship. She boasts numerous collaborations such as those with Lee Konitz, Miriam Makeba, Giorgia, Chico Buarque, Jaques Morelenbaum, Fred Hersch, Rita Marcotulli and others. She performed in important festivals and clubs in Italy and abroad such as: Umbria Jazz Winter, Auditorium Parco della Musica, More Jazz Series Mozambique, Saje Jazz Festival South Africa, Makahanda Jazz Festival South Africa, Blue Note S. Paolo Brasil, Le Vallette Jazz Malta, Italian Woman In Jazz New York, Udine Jazz, Crossroads. She participated in soundtracks collaborating, among others, with Maestro A. Guerra. She writes music for theater and cinema. She writes the song “Chiaraluce” for Giorgia (CD Stonata). She has 4 CDs to her credit and one soon to be released with the Trio Corrente (Grammy award). She teaches jazz singing at the Frosinone Conservatory and holds workshops on jazz language and improvisation in Italy and abroad.
